October

As everyone knows, October usually means 'Halloween' for most! This year is our first year where Tanya can actually enjoy this holiday...for several reasons.

1.) She can eat Candy now that she is 19 months old, instead of 7 months old like she was last Halloween.
2.) She can walk and talk, (maybe not fluently but she CAN talk!)
3.) While she may not fully grasp the concept of it, she can enjoy the fact that she gets candy. In short, she LOVED it!
So Justin helped me make an AWESOME pumpkin for her! With her own name and all! She tried to eat it at first, but when we put a candle in it, she was in awe! Then, we went on post to Trick-Or-Treat! She went as a Kitty and had far too much fun! By the end of the night, her basket was full of candies!!

It really was almost too perfect. Why, you ask? It was just this week that Justin had taught her how to "rawr' like a kitty and...well, more like a Tiger but a tiger is still a feline! So we were even lucky enough to get her to growl at some of the houses! Too cute!! :) I hope everyone else had a GREAT Halloween!!

Coffee, Fashionita and enjoying life

So it seems that I havn't realized just how big of a Diva my daughter has turned into...until now. So not only is she a Diva, she's a Fashionista ...therefor a Fashionista Diva?
Today, we had a coffee date and a pajama party!

And this is what the pajama party looked like!

She'll be 19 months old this month and she has yet to get her first hair cut. This is why her hair is super long!

Now back to how my life is going. I recently just finished my mid terms! I got B's on both of them!! Woohoo!!! I was pretty nervous about it but i'm holding B's in both the classes! In a few weeks I will be taking the exams and will be starting my next term which will be super fun!

Next month, I'm fully booked with photoshoots EACH weekend. It's absolutely ridiculous. I believe I have about 5 photoshoots in October! Most of them are Maternity, which i'm super excited about! :)

Last but definitly not least, i'm hoping to get a Macro lens soon so I can get even better nature photos! Once I do, I will be in heaven!! I definitely need one! Hope everyone enjoys the photos of everything and everyone! Have a great week!

Naked people, college, photography and life

(So like the title says, WOW! It's been 2 months! I have definitely been neglecting blogging. So if anyone still reads this, you're thinking "What's new?" Oh good lord, so many things. )

1.) My photography business is picking up! I'm getting usually at least 2-3 clients a month. It's not awesome but I feel like it's pretty major for me right now! Here is an update on my photography! I recently went to a body painting festival in Daegu! It was SO awesome! Half of the people were almost naked except for their underwear! It was an awesome, artistic and unique event...so naturally I brought my camera ;)

The next day, we went to the same place but they were having a "dress" festival. It included body paint but mostly dresses! Here are the rest of the photos!

As i'm sure you can see, I had a blast. It was great. Awesome music, great food and great time to practice with my camera ;) That was our major thing that we went to in the past 2 months. Tanya's obviously older, 18 months! Almost a 2 year old...I still can not believe it! Tanya recently got a mini cooper. Here are the photos!

If you're not impressed with her car yet let me tell you some of it's 'basic' features. AM & FM radio, Ipod plug in, working lights. Just the basics. Along with obviously forward and reverse and steering and the much needed horn. She can control it herself (With the gas petal and such) or we can control it with a remote. Anyway, it's pretty awesome and I think I might be a tad bit jealous of my daughter! :)

So, what's new with me personally? Not much, I started college. So far it's going okay. I've got A's in both my classes and it's nearing a month since they've started. My school only does 8 week terms so it's halfway done. I'm currently taking Intro to Criminal Justice and Intro to Psychology. Psychology is almost kicking my butt...for the simple reason that I have to read hundreds of pages and take tons of quizzes and discussions.  Aside from that, life is lovely. We are taking leave for back home in Michigan in early January for a month! That will be exciting and very much needed. Then we head to our new home in Germany! Wohoo! :)

College, Photography, Tanya & Life

Holy wow! It's been over a MONTH since i've updated this! Well, it's been SO busy that I havn't even noticed how long it was until I went back on this site! So let's start out with what's new! First of all, I am no longer a BRIGHT Blondie! I dyed my hair (To what was supposed to be a dark brown color) to a dark blondish/brown color! As you can see from the photo above obviously.

Second thing that's new? Tanya is 15 months old!! She's HUGE! She's talking and walking and laughing...and just being SO adorable! Also hopefully by looking at the photos below you will see that my photography is improving a bit! Yes, I am still at it! Haha. She's got this new thing...with pointing!

And of course, she is still a HUGE daddy's girl! Everything is about "Dadda"...and when she can't see him she likes to scream "DAAD" haha. As you can see in the photo's, they get along fabulously! I'm almost a bit jealous.
And if you want something REALLY exciting...I got to shoot my VERY FIRST maternity photo shoot! The couple was SO sweet and the mommy to be was GORGEOUS! So naturally all the photos turned out great. There are just 8 photos up above. I am so impressed with how they came out! I finally feel like I am actually "Learning" and "making progress!" Here are some more photos!

What does everyone think? Am I making progress? Anyway, on to more news! Tanya is probably going to be starting to get "Potty" trained. We were all excited about it...until we went to the commissary and realized a small pack of "Pull ups" was over $10!!! Got to LOVE how expensive kids are! Luckily just looking at this little face makes it all worth it!

So even after that, I STILL have more news! Guess who will be starting college in August? Yup! This mama!! I am SO excited! I'm only waiting on one more thing for the school to verify and then I am 100% signed up! Courses and all! I am going to just start with a community college online to see how I do and such. So what will I be going for? Take a guess...and I still bet you won't guess it! Criminal Justice/Homeland security. Now, I know some of you are going to read this and think "Tsk tsk tsk...not a smart career choice" but you know what? I'm excited and you can't ruin it! Excited is not even the right word...more like absolutely THRILLED! The only thing i'm NOT thrilled about...is the cost of books! Holy Wow!!!

So I think that's it for now...aside from the fact that we will be leaving Korea here in 6 months which is kind of sad! But oh my goodness I am going to be THRILLED to be in Germany again! I can't WAIT!!!

Waegwan, Tv's, Memories, Deal or No Deal & Life

So the little quiet town of Waegwan (Well it's usually quiet unless it's Friday or Saturday...then tons of people seem to make it their mission to go to the bars and get drunk which obviously leads to tons of noise and it being anything but quiet) is starting to finally get some nice whether. A few days now I was able to wear shorts and still feel like I was overheating!

So what have I been up to or the past weekends? Well, this weekend Justin was in the field so Tanya and I stayed inside pretty much the whole time...we slept, woke up, ate, slept some more, ate some more and then went back to sleeping...(Lol). Then on Friday Justin and I to play "Deal or No Deal" in Daegu for fun!

It was pretty fun! We won a whooping 10,000 won and got 2 free T-shirts! Now, before any one gets excited you have to understand that 10,000 won is the same as...$10! Woohoo!! However, It was fun and that was all that mattered! The biggest prize was free Burger king for a year! (Somehow I find it a blessing in disguise that we didn't win that! Or else we might be eating at burger king everyday...how healthy! Not!!)

That was about as exciting as our week got for us! Anyway, on the bright side we have a 4 day weekend coming up!!! So that's exciting!! Now before I go onto another subject i'm not sure if I wrote about this or not but April 10th we ordered a 46" inch TV!!  Justin wanted a huge TV so we ordered it off Amazon. I will be the first to say I am the BIGGEST fan of Amazon! I LOOVE it...well, I officially have had my "bad" experience with Amazon. However, I don't think Amazon is really to blame. See, I bought the TV from a private seller off Amazon. Well...long story short...he claimed that Amazon did not give him the money after we paid for it and there for could not ship it! I was patient and we gave him 2 months to ship the TV...he kept using the same excuse so after SEVERAL Emails I called up Amazon and demanded my money back. So no TV for us... :(

If you are looking at the photos above confused let me help you. As most of you know, I am simply obsessed with taking photos of my little model! So I took all our photos that we had and started organizing them by date (Trust me it's harder then it looks or seems!). You see those piles? There were about 8 of those! After going through those 8 piles I realized something. I havn't ordered more photos for Tanya Since she was 9 months old! So for the past 6 months we don't have any new photos. (However, I will get right to uploading photos on Snapfish and ordering new ones!!)

So before you ask WHY there are so many photos let me explain so you DO understand! I have been telling myself I really need to start a photo album of my princess. With all the photos I have it will need to be a big album though haha. So Justin bought one that holds 200 photos...we were under the impression it held 500 but when it got here it only held 200...bummer but okay. So my plan? I'm going to have an album per year or per 6 months maybe? So yesterday I got to work on the album...

So I firmly believe in having an album full of baby photos and photos documenting your child's life...mainly due to the fact that I have no photos of me under the age of 7. So of course I have to go all crazy on all her photos and making sure she will have TONS of them!!

Making this photo album made me realize just how OLD Tanya is getting...It's so sad! I can't believe just 14 months ago she was 5lbs and 14 oz! Anyway as I put photos in I just couldn't believe how much she's changed! She had dark brown hair when she was born and now has bright blonde hair.

As you can see, she's definitely grown up! :) Anyway, I only got about to the 9 month point and ran out of photos...so that was a bit irritating. However, once the photos arrive I will finish it up! I can't wait!

Last but certainly not least, not only am I making Tanya a photo Album I am also making her a Diary. I started writing in the Diary a few months before I had her. I wrote about experiences, Issues, ad everything else underneath the sun. Just so she knows what was happening around that time.

Anyway, I also need to get more photos for the Diary so I can keep up with the Diary and proceed to update it! I highly recommend everyone to do it either about everyday life or a diary for their children!! :)
