Waegwan, Tv's, Memories, Deal or No Deal & Life

So the little quiet town of Waegwan (Well it's usually quiet unless it's Friday or Saturday...then tons of people seem to make it their mission to go to the bars and get drunk which obviously leads to tons of noise and it being anything but quiet) is starting to finally get some nice whether. A few days now I was able to wear shorts and still feel like I was overheating!

So what have I been up to or the past weekends? Well, this weekend Justin was in the field so Tanya and I stayed inside pretty much the whole time...we slept, woke up, ate, slept some more, ate some more and then went back to sleeping...(Lol). Then on Friday Justin and I to play "Deal or No Deal" in Daegu for fun!

It was pretty fun! We won a whooping 10,000 won and got 2 free T-shirts! Now, before any one gets excited you have to understand that 10,000 won is the same as...$10! Woohoo!! However, It was fun and that was all that mattered! The biggest prize was free Burger king for a year! (Somehow I find it a blessing in disguise that we didn't win that! Or else we might be eating at burger king everyday...how healthy! Not!!)

That was about as exciting as our week got for us! Anyway, on the bright side we have a 4 day weekend coming up!!! So that's exciting!! Now before I go onto another subject i'm not sure if I wrote about this or not but April 10th we ordered a 46" inch TV!!  Justin wanted a huge TV so we ordered it off Amazon. I will be the first to say I am the BIGGEST fan of Amazon! I LOOVE it...well, I officially have had my "bad" experience with Amazon. However, I don't think Amazon is really to blame. See, I bought the TV from a private seller off Amazon. Well...long story short...he claimed that Amazon did not give him the money after we paid for it and there for could not ship it! I was patient and we gave him 2 months to ship the TV...he kept using the same excuse so after SEVERAL Emails I called up Amazon and demanded my money back. So no TV for us... :(

If you are looking at the photos above confused let me help you. As most of you know, I am simply obsessed with taking photos of my little model! So I took all our photos that we had and started organizing them by date (Trust me it's harder then it looks or seems!). You see those piles? There were about 8 of those! After going through those 8 piles I realized something. I havn't ordered more photos for Tanya Since she was 9 months old! So for the past 6 months we don't have any new photos. (However, I will get right to uploading photos on Snapfish and ordering new ones!!)

So before you ask WHY there are so many photos let me explain so you DO understand! I have been telling myself I really need to start a photo album of my princess. With all the photos I have it will need to be a big album though haha. So Justin bought one that holds 200 photos...we were under the impression it held 500 but when it got here it only held 200...bummer but okay. So my plan? I'm going to have an album per year or per 6 months maybe? So yesterday I got to work on the album...

So I firmly believe in having an album full of baby photos and photos documenting your child's life...mainly due to the fact that I have no photos of me under the age of 7. So of course I have to go all crazy on all her photos and making sure she will have TONS of them!!

Making this photo album made me realize just how OLD Tanya is getting...It's so sad! I can't believe just 14 months ago she was 5lbs and 14 oz! Anyway as I put photos in I just couldn't believe how much she's changed! She had dark brown hair when she was born and now has bright blonde hair.

As you can see, she's definitely grown up! :) Anyway, I only got about to the 9 month point and ran out of photos...so that was a bit irritating. However, once the photos arrive I will finish it up! I can't wait!

Last but certainly not least, not only am I making Tanya a photo Album I am also making her a Diary. I started writing in the Diary a few months before I had her. I wrote about experiences, Issues, ad everything else underneath the sun. Just so she knows what was happening around that time.

Anyway, I also need to get more photos for the Diary so I can keep up with the Diary and proceed to update it! I highly recommend everyone to do it either about everyday life or a diary for their children!! :)

Turning 21!

So I guess let me start out...I turned 21 this month! Yaaay! What did I do on my birthday? Well it started out with a birthday dinner...at Shanghai grill but as soon as our food arrived one of my husbands soldiers called because they got into a car accident. She was also one of our friends so we had the waiter put our food in "to go" bags and got in our car and drove straight to Daegu to see what happened.

Luckily she was okay, her car was a bit beat up and the other lady who was at fault kept blaming it on her but long story short we left for Daegu at 6pm...and didn't leave until about 8pm. By then we were so tired we decided to post pone my birthday celebration. Fast forward to a week later and we figured we would try to celebrate my birthday then, I invited a few friends and just my luck that they couldn't make it...well rather decided to do something else (Long story) but anyway one of my friends was able to make it!

So we all went out for dinner at TGIF and it was soooo amazing and delicious! The strawberry Daiquiri was to die for. So about an hour later we decided to venture on to maybe some bars...well as luck would have it we met one of my friend's (The one with us) friends who happened to be photographers and one of the photographers wife was german. So I tested out my horrible german and low and behold she completely understood me.

So then we started talking in full blown german...it was kind of neat! But my goodness I forgot how fast you talk when you speak your native language. I remember saying "Sie sprechen sehr schnell! (You speak very fast!) so she slowed down a little and it helped me a ton! So we talked for a few hours and by the time we were done talking and walking around we had forgotten all about the bars and drinking and were so tired we went back home, picked Tanya up from her baby sitter and all went to bed.

I know, I know, I'm such a party animal! However a few weeks ago we had a blast at the Daegu park! So of course I had to practice my photography which I think is getting a bit better.

It was very beautiful. We even got dressed up a bit haha. On the right is Justin and on the left is his friend...

And of course I got dressed up as a princess I think...i'm not quiet sure but it was pretty entertaining and not to mention alot of the Koreans were cracking up.

Tanya also had a blast! Except it got really hot so we had to leave after 2 hours because we were all sweating to death it seemed. Then this week a friend and I went to the playground with Tanya and her little boy and they had a blast. I took this opportunity to take some nicer photos of Tanya.

That's about it for the past 2 weeks. :)

Gumi, Seoul, Osan, Exploring and Russian food!

So since I havn't wrote in my blog for two weeks I've got to get you updated on 2 weeks worth of events...both of which included exploring.

1.) 2 weeks ago we went to Gumi...granted we've been to Gumi before but mainly for shopping and not exploring nature. It was beautiful. Waterfalls and everything.

2.) Last weekend...we went to Seoul! It was for 24 hours only but it was great!

Anyway, we will start from 2 weeks ago. We and our friends were bored so we decided to head up to Gumi and apparently they knew a nice mountain to go, so we figured...why not? We LOOOVED it and I got some amazing photos!

So Gumi was definitely a huge hit with exploring and finding new places to go! Then the next day we went to this thing in Daegu that the Army was holding for "Children month" which was fun!

We got our faces painted and everything! Tanya didn't enjoy her face being painted on this time. She was still pretty good for it though! Then we got to see some martial arts and after that a Talent show!

After that we went to Motorcycle alley in Daegu!

Then came the trip to Seoul! First off we left the day we planned it for...so naturally with our luck it poured non stop for the whole day. Then using our GPS for Seoul it got us lost and took us about 4 hours to get there instead of 2 1/2-3 hours. However there were some amazing sights while driving there!

The photos above are photos of  Korean rest stop looks like. It's amazing how nice and huge Korean rest stops are! Justin even tried some octopus balls...ewww haha.

Finally after what seemed like forever we actually got to Seoul. We rented a room at a motel...Apparently motels are mainly used for "sex" in Korea so when Justin went in to get the rooms the man asked if he was with another man or women (Sexually). Anyway Justin was a bit annoyed that the guy pretty much asked if he was gay haha. Then when our friends and I walked in to see what was taking so long he looked at us all shocked and says "All 4? Together? One room" to which one of our friends replied "No...2 separate rooms...we're not that freaky haha!" Honestly we couldn't stop laughing about it for the next 24 hours! So then after we got situated we went back out to Seoul to see what we could do. We were hungry so we drove around until we found a Russian restaurant!

We all had some amazing borscht and the guys LOVED the Russian beer! Haha. Then we headed toward a place called the Justin bar...Justin insisted haha!

After that we continued looking at different places!

We continued visiting other places but gave up on our camera's and taking them everywhere with us so we put them back in the car and continued to venture on! The sights were amazing...the people were hilarious and sweet and it was just so different from Waegwan...or even Daegu for that matter! All in all we had a blast!! :)
